Le Vieux Marché de Calafell ouvrira en tant que nouvel espace culturel et social polyvalent. L'ancien équipement a une superficie de plus de 1 500 mètres carrés sur un seul étage et est situé dans un endroit incomparable, central, accessible et avec parking. La conversion de l'Ancien Marché de Calafell en un espace polyvalent voté dans un processus de participation citoyenne lors du dernier mandat municipal. La construction du nouveau marché municipal, contenue dans le précédent, a libéré l'ancien bâtiment. Parmi les différentes propositions étudiées, c'est celle qui a incité à la fois la demande citoyenne et la viabilité économique. La démolition des anciens étals et les travaux de base, ont permis d’obtenir un vaste espace qui offre d'innombrables possibilités : salle de concert, salle de danse, évènements en tout genre, repas populaires, fêtes des entités ..., ainsi que des usages plus culturels : conférences, spectacles théâtraux… Dans toute la région du Baix Penedès aucun autre espace n’offre un tel espace et cette polyvalence. Acústica Integral a été chargée de réaliser le traitement acoustique absorbant de l'enceinte. L'idée développée par l'équipe technico-commerciale est basée sur l'installation de panneaux acoustiques de type Acustisón-50. Toute la surface du plafond a été couverte, ainsi que la surface nécessaire sur les murs, pour compléter l'absorption nécessaire qui permet de contrôler le temps de réverbération pour les multiples activités qui auront lieu dans l'espace polyvalent. Le résultat acoustique atteint est optimal, avec les niveaux d'absorption nécessaires pour le type d'activité qui sera réalisée à l'intérieur de l'enceinte. Les traitements ont été adaptés avec précision à tous les revêtements disponibles pour le traitement, en définissant une solution adaptée aux besoins du client.
