Die alte Markthalle von Calafell soll als Mehrzweckhalle für kulturelle und soziale Events genutzt werden. Die alte Anlage hat eine Fläche von mehr als 1.500 Quadratmetern auf einer Etage und befindet sich an einem unschlagbar günstigen Ort, zentral, zugänglich und mit Parkplatz. Die Umwandlung der alten Markthalle in einen Mehrzweckbereich wurde während der Amtszeit des letzten Gemeinderats bei einer Abstimmung mit Bürgerbeteiligung beschlossen. Der Bau der neuen städtischen Markthalle führte dazu, dass das alte Gebäude für eine neue Nutzung zur Verfügung stand. Unter den verschiedenen untersuchten Vorschlägen war dies derjenige, der sowohl der Nachfrage der Bürger entsprach, als auch wirtschaftlich machbar war. Nachdem die alten Stände abgerissen und die grundlegenden Arbeiten durchgeführt wurden, entstand ein sehr großer Raum, der unendlich viele Möglichkeiten bietet, wie Konzerte, Bälle, Feste aller Art, Banketts, Unternehmensfeiern ... sowie kulturelle Veranstaltungen wie Konferenzen, Theatervorstellungen ... Im gesamten Landkreis Baix Penedès gibt es keine Halle mit diesen vielseitigen Eigenschaften. Acústica Integral wurde mit der Schalldämmung der Halle beauftragt. Die vom technisch-kommerziellen Team entwickelte Idee basiert auf der Installation von schallisolierenden Paneelen des Typs Acustisón-50. Es wurde eine komplette Verkleidung der Decke sowie der notwendigen Wandflächen vorgenommen, um die Schallabsorption zu optimieren, die für die Kontrolle der Nachhallzeit für die im Multifunktionsraum geplanten Tätigkeiten erforderlich ist. Das akustische Ergebnis war optimal und erreichte die Absorptionswerte, die für die Art der zu entwickelnden Aktivität innerhalb des Gehäuses erforderlich sind. Die Arbeiten wurden genau auf alle zur Verfügung stehenden Maßnahmen abgestimmt und erbrachten eine auf die Bedürfnisse des Kunden zugeschnittene Lösung.
