Das Unternehmen Intermalta, das seit mehr als 40 Jahren Malz für Bierbrauereien herstellt, betreibt eine seiner Produktionsstätten in Albacete.
In dieser Industrieanlage gibt es ein Heizkraftwerk mit Luftkühlungseinheiten im oberen Teil des Gebäudes.
Der von diesen Maschinen erzeugte Geräuschpegel lag nach den durchgeführten Messungen über dem geltenden Grenzwert.

Um die von diesen Anlagen ausgehenden Geräuschemissionen zu kontrollieren, hat Acústica Integral eine Lösung mit einer akustischen Abschirmung entwickelt. Dadurch sollte der von den Kühlanlagen nach außen abgestrahlte Geräuschpegel gemindert werden.
Aber dies war keine konventionelle Installation. Aufgrund der Explosionsgefahr im Arbeitsbereich konnten Heißarbeiten wie Schneiden und Schweißen vor Ort nicht durchgeführt werden. Alle strukturellen Elemente, die zur Stützung der Schallbarriere verwendet werden, wurden daher in der Werkstatt vorbereitet und vor Ort mithilfe mechanischer Verbindungen zusammengebaut.
Als Lösung wurde eine U-förmige Schallschutzwand aus Dämmplatten Acustimódul-80A gewählt. Die Barriere wurde so ausgerichtet, dass die Ausbreitung des von den Maschinen erzeugten Lärms nach außen hin reduziert wurde.
Für den Zugang zum Inneren der Abschirmung wurden zwei schallisolierende Türen Modell RS7 eingebaut.
Das gesamte System aus Rohren, Platten und Verankerungspunkten wurde mithilfe von Schraubverbindungen an der bestehenden Struktur befestigt, sodass Schweißarbeiten vermieden werden konnten.
Die installierte Schalldämmung sorgte für die Lärmminderung, die für das Erreichen der Projektziele erforderlich war.
